Orakzai (or Aurakzai) Tribe of Orakzai & Kurram Agencies - Tribes of FATA, Pakistan

Orakzai (or Aurakzai) is a big Pashtun tribe of FATA, Pakistan. Though the centre of Orakzai tribe's population is at Orakzai Agency, a large number of Orakzais also live in Kurram Agency, Hangu, and Tirah. The Orakzai tribe, in addition to its own sub-tribes, has a number of Hamsaya clans. The Hamsaya clans maintain their separate tribal identity. The most important and famous Hamsayas of Orakzais are the Mishti and Sheikhan tribes.

Orakzai Nawabs of Bhopal (Madhia Pardesh, India):
In 1710/11, Dost Muhammad Khan Orakzai laid the foundation of the state of Bhopal in Madhia Pardesh, India and was sworn in as its first Nawab. Dost Muhammad Khan went to India from Tirah (Orakzai Agency). His successors on the throne of Bhopal state were:
